Militants kill 22 villagers in Kashmir

Monday, May 1, 2006

Suspected Muslim militants shot dead over 20 villagers in the Doda district of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir early on Monday morning.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but police suspect that the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba is involved and have called the attack “pre-planned.”

Eyewitnesses say armed men in military fatigues raided the village, made the residents line up and then opened fire on them injuring 9 villagers and killing the rest.

The attack comes just after by-elections in the state and just before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh‘s meeting with militant leaders. The Union Home Ministry has convened an emergency meeting in New Delhi. Officers from the Intelligence Bureau are also likely to be present.

Eurozone offers Greece 30 billion euro in loans

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Member states of the eurozone have offered to give Greece thirty billion euro in emergency loans for the debt-stricken country, should the latter want it.

The loans’ price will be determined using formulas by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and will be set at around five percent.

The Luxembourgish prime minister, Jean-Claude Juncker, speaking on behalf of eurozone finance ministers, commented that “[t]he total amount put up by the eurozone member states for the first year will reach 30bn euros.” He added that “[t]his is certainly no subsidy” to Greece.

The prime minister also noted that financing would be “completed and co-financed” by the IMF. European Union monetary affairs chief Olli Rehn remarked that the IMF would make a “substantial contribution” to the loan package as well, perhaps around ten billion euros.

The Greek economy has spent more than it has earned for several years now, and currently faces a budget deficit equal to 12.9% of its economic output, or a total debt of 300 billion euros. The country intends to try and reduce the deficit to 8.7% this year.

Valentine\’S Day: 5 Hairstyles To Ratchet Up The Romance

Valentine\’S Day: 5 Hairstyles To Ratchet Up The Romance

Valentine\’s Day: 5 Hairstyles to Ratchet Up the Romance

by

Christina A. Jefferson

Many ladies will put forth great effort on Valentine\’s Day to make sure everything turns out perfect, from donning a glamorous dress to applying picture-perfect makeup to laboring over a knock-em-dead hairstyle. The following are five sexy styles that are perfect for the most romantic night of the year, along with some product suggestions to help finish off that fabulous look.

1. Messy Up-do

The messy up-do is ideal when you want to project an air of casual sexiness. Work a splotch of Philip B. Shin-Aid Pomade through the back of your hair for texture. Leaving some strands loose to frame your face, pull the majority of your hair into a high ponytail. Separate your ponytail into four or five sections and bring each section individually down; fold it over and into the base of the ponytail. Hold in place with bobby pins, and spritz with Oscar Blandi\’s Olio di Jasmine Shine Spray.

2. Half-Up

Popularized at weddings, the half-up hairstyle allows you to emphasize your face while still displaying the fullness of your locks in back. Before you style, prevent heat damage and keep the frizz under wraps with Philip B. Anti-Frizz Formula 57. Blow-dry your hair completely. Gather half of your hair into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic band. From there, use a T3 Single Pass Curling Wand and curl half-inch sections of your hair. Finish off the look with a dose of hairspray, and add a glittery hair accessory for extra glamour.

3. Tousled Waves

A tousled, wavy look adds playfulness as well as sexiness to your Valentine\’s Day ensemble. After conditioning, work in some Oscar Blandi Hair Lift to provide volume and texture. Then blow-dry halfway using a heat-protection hair dryer such as the T3 Featherweight. Finger dry the rest of the way. Next, use a large barrel curling iron and curl large sections of your hair. Run your fingers through your hair to separate the waves, then flip your head over repeat. Complete the look with Maui Wowie Beach Mist by Philip B.

4. Low Bun

When done correctly, a low bun can be glamorous and stunning. After drying and straightening your hair, add a few drops of RODIN Olio Lusso hair oil to your palms and work it into your hair lightly; this will give your hair a natural luster. Draw your hair into a ponytail at the back of your neck. Round the hair over and pin it into place with bobby pins to create a bun.

5. Side Ponytail

If the fashion runways are any indication, the side ponytail is back in style. After creating an off-center part in towel-dried hair, blow dry a little more with a paddle brush. Smooth the front part of your hair toward the back of your head and collect all of it on the opposite side the part is on. Secure with an elastic band. You can use a T3 flat iron for a sleek and straight ponytail, or give it some curl with a large barrel curling iron.

Creating a low bun is a breeze with the right products. To keep every strand in place

use Oscar Blandi Lacca hairspray

How Drone Technology Is Evolving The Industrial Industry

How Drone Technology Is Evolving The Industrial Industry

These are some of the benefits that you need to know about, when it comes to robots and drones in the industrial industry, changing the way we are doing things. These are the benefits of using drones and robots.

Improving the safety inspection of workers

By using drones and robots, you are going to improve the safety inspections of workers. Normally with industrial companies, workers have certain PPE that they need to wear to stay safe. And, it is important to make sure that you can inspect the workers on a daily basis to ensure that they are wearing their PPE.

This is why it is great to use robots and drones. It can do the safety inspections on a daily basis, without interrupting the work that the workers are doing. And, it will be able to do this a lot faster, than what it would be if the safety supervisor is visiting all divisions of the industry.

Able to perform different types of inspections

When people are doing the inspections, there is always just a limit that they can do. For example, they will only be able to perform inspections on the floor. If there are workers that are working remotely, it is harder to do the inspections on higher ground.

However, with a drone, this will be possible. To do the inspections, no matter on what height the workers are working. You can even inspect the equipment that they are using, to ensure that the equipment is still in perfect working order.

Quicker inspection time

With any type of inspections, it is taking up a lot of time. It is expensive and takes up time that the inspectors could have used better.

This is why the robots and drones are such a great idea. It is doing all the work so that the inspectors can get to their real work a lot faster. Taking less time, and is making the work more efficiently and effectively. The industry can even start hiring fewer inspectors, because of the time that the robots and drones are saving. Not only will it be done faster, but it will also be done more effectively.

Reduce insurance because of better safety

Insurance premiums will be less. This is because the industrial company will have a much better safety record. Normally with a business like the industrial industry, safety isn’t as great. Accidents happen and workers don’t really do wear their PPE. This is why the insurance of these companies is higher.

But with the robots and drones that are doing the rounds on a daily basis, accidents will be less. And, this means that the safety will be better and the insurance premiums will be a lot less. With the insurance premiums reduced, it will mean that the company can use that money to expand the business.

Who can make use of robots and drones?

The question is who can make use of robots and drones to improve their safety, work, and equipment? Any type of business, company, and industry that is working with expensive equipment, workers that need to be aware of safety and where inspections need to be done on a regular basis.

This will ensure that the inspections are getting done a lot faster, more effective, and ensure better safety with workers. Many companies are struggling with workers that aren’t wearing their PPE. Now, with the drones doing regular inspections, all the workers will need to wear their PPE. This is why any business will benefit from using drones and robots.

Robots and drones for improving industrial inspections for safety and equipment inspections. Something that any large and small company can consider. There are many reasons why this is something to consider, these were just to name a couple of them. If you are a company owner that is struggling with a lot of accidents at work, this is something that you can consider for sure. You will see that within a couple of days after starting to use the drone and robots, the accidents will decrease and workers will start to be more safety aware. And, your company will also benefit from using robots and drones.
